The rigid mica sheet, which has been specially designed and heated under pressure, has a very high mechanical strength of 150 N/mm².
Mica sheets can resist high temperatures: Muscovite at 500-700 °C and Phlogopite at 700-900 °C.
Additionally, it has a high voltage of 17 kV/mm.
Industrial engineers will use rigid mica sheets as high-quality insulation material.
Then, the mica sheet will be punched and processed into different kinds of designs, like the following photo:
That requires a thickness of 0.2-3 mm. If the thickness exceeds 3mm, the mica boards must be processed using a CNC machine, drill, saw, etc.
The heating wire can be wrapped around the gear, threaded through the hole, and fixed in the gap. Then, the mica can stay in good shape with the electric heating element.
There are even higher-temperature mica sheets, such as synthetic and calcined mica sheets, available to meet customers’ special demands.

How to make a mica sheet?
The process step is as follows:
- Gluing high-quality muscovite mica paper, phlogopite mica paper, or synthetic mica paper with high-temperature silicon resin.
- Heat and press the mica paper on the mica sheets.
- Cutting the mica sheets to size: 1000*600mm, 1000*1200mm, 1000*2400mm.
- Pack each 50kg mica sheet with PE film and a carton box, then fix each 1 ton with wooden pallets.
Mica sheet produces a process.

Mica Sheet Packing & Delivery
Mica sheets are packed in PE film and carton boxes, with each box weighing approximately 50 kg.
Then, approximately 20 carton boxes containing 1,000 kg of mica sheets were secured to wooden pallets (Size: 1200*1000mm).
Then we have our truck to send the products directly to Shenzhen Port and Shanghai Port.
